Are you an educator working in a kindergarten, preschool, childcare, family day-care or play group setting?
Do you look at other educators who make music easily and confidently with their children and wish you could be more like them?
Do you want to bring more music and movement into your program but feel stuck for ideas and not sure where to start?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, and you’re ready to reignite your musical 'mojo' with some new ideas and repertoire, then you are in the right place!
Children experience joy and unconscious learning through music – when they feel the beat, sing, play musical instruments, dance and move their bodies, and when they actively listen to a range of different musical styles.
But many educators lack confidence in their own ability to make music with their children. They feel like they are doing the “same old same old” year in and year out …
If this sounds like you, please join us here at Branch Into Music for “The Five Branches Framework For Music In the Early Years”. The aim of this online professional development program is to give you, the educator, more confidence around incorporating a quality Music and Movement program into your early years setting.
In “The Five Branches Framework For Music In The Early Years” we will outline the importance of music and musical activities to enhance childhood development in the Introductory Module, then work our way through the five key elements (or "branches") of an effective Music program.
The five “branches” make up the five core modules – Beat, Singing, Instruments, Movement and Listening.
But don’t worry! You don’t have to have any prior musical knowledge or skills to engage in this course - just enthusiasm, an open mind, and the belief that every person is entitled to a musical childhood.
We are so lucky to be able to give the gift of music to the children in our care.
It's time for some new repertoire and resource ideas, and the boost in confidence you need to bring more music and movement into your program!
